This is a Web-based eLearning Program for ship’s Electrical Officers.
Developed to meet requirements of DNV’s Seaskill Standard of Competence of Electrical Officers, the Program is split into a number of Courses, each one addressing one or more areas of Competence required of a ship’s Electrical Officer. |

With increasing levels of automation and communication equipment on board ships today, the responsibilities and scope of work of the ship’s electrical officers has increased several-fold as compared to those of an Electrical Officer a few years ago. This Program aims at bridging the gap in knowledge and skills which the Communication revolution has generated.
The Program comprises nineteen Courses, which will train the aspiring Electrical Officer to the required levels of professional behavior and ability to operate and maintain sophisticated electrical and electronic equipment on board a ship.
After completing the Program the Learner will appear at an on-line examination conducted by Det Norske Veritas for Certification as a Ship’s Electrical Officer. |
